African Rainbow

African Rainbow has long been a dream fish for many Mahseer collectors. Its most iconic feature is the vivid combination of red and blue across its fins. It is said that individuals with longer dorsal fins have higher ornamental value. Once fully grown and coloured, the edges of the scales on the upper body gradually turn blue, creating a rich and striking appearance. African Rainbow is not only bold but also highly interactive. Because of its colourful and eye-catching appearance, hobbyists have jokingly nicknamed it the “African Shamate”.
