Tor Putitora

Tor Putitora is one of the larger Mahseer varieties. As its colour gradually develops, the entire body becomes a brilliant and rich golden yellow. Specimens with excellent colour development may also show green-shining scales extending across the back, creating greater depth and detail. Based on the colour of the tail fin, it can be divided into yellow-tail and red-tail forms, each with its own unique ornamental appeal.
